I am…going to another holiday party.
It is being held at a local restaurant. After lunch we will have a white elephant gift exchange. White elephant parties are known to result in playful rivalries between players trying to get sought after gifts. I think the goal of a white elephant gift exchange is to entertain rather than to gain. I was told there will be around 40 guests so the white elephant could take some time. Last year with this group I came home with a huge jar of berry jam from Oregon. I wonder what I will leave with this year. No matter what it is fun to visit with people you work with, enjoy a nice meal and then watch the excitement of interactions during white elephant gift exchange.
