I am…flossing

Flossing Day encourages the regular use of dental floss to promote healthy teeth and gums. Interesting focus for the day after Thanksgiving which most of us spend eating and then eating some more. The American Dental Association recommends flossing at least once a day for good oral health. It helps prevent gum disease and cavities. Another benefit is reduced dental cost when taking good care of our teeth.

I made another addition to my brushing routine this year. I got myself a Waterpik. Surprising to see a little more food removed from between my teeth after brushing and flossing.

I found Flossing Day at www.daysoftheyear.com. For more information on flossing, go to: www.flossing.org
